How Fees Work

How Fees Work

The fees are categorised into four sections outlined as follows:

  • Hockey Australia/Hockey Victoria (HA/HV) Registration/Fees
    • These fees, levied by HA/HV, encompass your registration, insurance, and administrative expenses accrued through Hockey Australia & Hockey Victoria. They remain applicable for the calendar year and are a one-time payment.
    • The sole deviation from the aforementioned is if you opt for a game membership, permitting participation in only 5 matches. This can be upgraded to a full membership for an additional cost.
    • HA/HV membership fees are located here
    • You must be registered with HA/HV before taking the field.
  • PEGS Hockey Club Competition Fees
    • PEGS Hockey Club organises multiple competitions concurrently and imposes fees for each competition.
    • When engaging in multiple competitions within the same season, we may offer a combination fee at a discounted rate, rather than paying the full fee for each individual competition.
    • PEGS Fees are paid in advance unless on a payment plan.
    • For payment plans, please contact  treasurer@pegshockeyclub.com.au prior to registering.
    • Players must be financial by having all fees paid in full by 18th May 2025 (before Round 7).
  • Volunteer Hours
    • Throughout our winter competition season, a significant amount of effort is required to keep the club running smoothly, including tasks such as umpiring, working in the canteen, running the BBQ, assisting with Hookin2Hockey, and taking on the Team Managers role.
    • In order for the club to function effectively, players should contribute at least 6 volunteer hours.
    • By volunteering, players help keep club fees low, making playing hockey more cost-effective for everyone.
    • Further information on volunteering can be found here
  • Merchant Fees
    • PEGS Hockey Club utilises the RevSport payment gateway for fee collection, with RevSport applying a merchant fee to all transactions.
    • Merchant fees are calculated at a rate of 2% of the total transaction inc + $1.60 (RevSport fee).
    • Alternatively, you can pay via Bank Transfer; please email your payment receipt to treasurer@pegshockeyclub.com.au once the transfer is completed.
    • Please note that HA/HV fees must be paid by credit card, as required by Hockey Victoria.
  • Full Membership vs Game Membership (casuals)
    • Full membership is the default option for most players.
    • Game membership is a restricted membership that allows you to play up to 5 games.
If you wish to play more than 5 games, you will need to upgrade to a Full membership after playing your initial 5 games and pay the difference in price.
